TWO CHAMPIONS ONE PURPOSE
Riley Leonard is a Champion of the Sugar and Orange Bowls and Gib Leonard is a Champion for renewal and revitalization of communities in Zimbabwe! The Leonards are true champions for charity, dedicated significant personal time and resources to the cause.
Together they further meeting the basic needs of children, families and villages through the Buy a Brick Foundation. The foundation has been assisting with need in Zimbabwe since 2004.
We all come together this night to share and support in the dedication to helping children and families achieve a higher standard of living. Help Buy a Brick continue to build foundations of Spiritual, Agricultural, Medical and Educational programming.
BUY A BRICK STORY
In 2004, a small group from Washington, D.C. traveled to Zimbabwe with a simple mission: to help in any way possible. What we found were communities facing extreme challenges—healthcare challenges, crumbling schools, and a lack of basic resources. Yet, despite these hardships, the people of Zimbabwe were determined to make change. All they needed was support.
Together, The Buy a Brick Foundation laid the groundwork for a long-term partnership based on teamwork, trust, and mutual respect. Our early efforts focused on building schools, teachers’ quarters, and basic facilities, addressing immediate needs that would uplift entire communities. Over time, our projects expanded—restoring water wells, distributing food, supplying school materials, and building infrastructure in villages across Zimbabwe.
